Dr. Mitchell is a very knowledgeable Doc, I like him because he was very thorough examining my heel & leg and explaining the diagnostic tests as well as making a recovery plan for after surgery. I am an athlete so I had a lot of questions about the procedure and what to expect afterwords. He told me in detail each step then asked me if I had any more questions. I felt very comfortable about my pre-op visit, my upcoming surgery and loved his bedside manner.

I had to have bone spurs removed around my tendons (Achilles) in both ankles and had to have a torn ligament fixed in my left ankle. Dr. Mitchell was very knowledgeable and explained things to me in laymen terms, and it really put me at ease when it came to the surgery. The surgery went smoothly and he even called me later that evening to see how I am doing and to see if I had any questions. Not even a week after the surgery, I feel and stepped on my surgery foot. I sent him a text message with my concerns and he responded quickly while he was on vacation! It's just not something you get from doctors in this day and age, and it further reinforced my belief that he is not only an amazing surgeon, but just a wonderful doctor who cares about his patients. Everyone at his office is extremely nice as well, and I am always seen at my appointment time. He will be doing my second surgery too, and I hope I don't have to have any more in the future but if I do, I am only going to Dr. Mitchell. I can not recommend him enough.

Dr Peter Mitchell is the best. I went to see him a few years ago. He told me I needed an ankle replacement. We tried a few things like PRP and orthotics I wanted to try to put off surgery . But eventually I needed a replacement. Had Total ankle replacement in November 2018. The best decision I made I can walk and hike without pain. Dr Mitchell and his team are fantastic.

He tells you the truth, very, very knowledgeable, explains in detail what he is going to do, and will try his best to get you walking again. It took me 24 years, after my initial injury, to find Dr. Mitchell. After years of ankle braces, orthotics, injections, bad radiologist readings, and progressive weakness, pain, and instability I am so very grateful to Dr. Mitchell. My posterior tendon had ruptured somewhere along the way, and retracted taking my muscle along with it. Also, ligament problems on the outer ankle. He fixed that and did a hindfoot fusion, as well. What a miraculous difference this has made for me. His expertise, medical brilliance, and surgical skills went beyond my expectations. I like his sense of humor, too. Dr. Mitchell is a truly outstanding surgeon. As a side note: My cast got wet, I freaked out, called the emergency number. Dr. Mitchell called right back, at 9:00 at night, calmed me down and had me come in the next morning... Awesomeness!!!

Dr. Mitchell is very pleasant to interact with. He took the time to explain the extensive problems with my foot. The office was very efficient. I was in and out in 35 minutes. That included reception time, x-rays and doctors visit. That was great!
